The beginning of everything
One of the deepest mysteries of theology is the nature of the Holy Spirit and its relationship with the True God. According to the scriptures, the Holy Spirit is the very essence of God, the vital force that animates all creation. It is the divine breath that gives life to human beings and to all nature. Genesis 1:2 describes the Spirit of God moving over the waters, symbolizing his active presence in the creation process. Jesus says: "God is spirit" (John 4:24). Paul also affirms: "The Spirit of God knows the things of God" (1 Corinthians 2:11). With this we can understand that there is a part of the invisible God made visible; therefore, the prophets, when they said they saw an old man sitting on a throne, with white garments and hair as white as snow, were describing the visible God, and within that visible God is the Holy Spirit, the essence of the True God. That is why Jesus says: "God will forgive them any sin, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will have no forgiveness" (Mark 3:28-29), because the Holy Spirit is the essence of the True God.
The Unforgivable Sin
Blasphemy against the Spirit of God is the unforgivable sin because it is a total rejection of the very essence of God. And it is not about direct offenses against God that an atheist or agnostic person can make, but that, being believers in God, they manipulate the gospel to justify their sins by interpreting the holy scriptures to their convenience. Anyone who does this will be condemned for it without the right to the divine forgiveness that was granted through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. Jesus says: "My words are spirit and they are life" (John 6:63), "I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who sent me has given me a commandment what to say and what to speak" (John 12:49). And whose son was Jesus? The scriptures say: "The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the shadow of the Most High will cover you; therefore, the holy one who will be born will be called the Son of God" (Luke 1:35). That is why, when someone manipulates the holy scriptures to justify their sins, he is blaspheming against the Holy Spirit, because he is rejecting the truth revealed by God through his word and denying the very essence of the True God.
Religion, the Great Blasphemy Against God
Christian religions (Catholicism, Protestantism, Orthodoxy, among other groups) are the great blasphemy against God, because they are a human invention that distorts God's truth and stands between the human being and his creator. Religion has been used throughout history to justify wars, persecutions, discrimination and oppression. Instead of bringing people closer to God, religion often takes them away from him by imposing rules, dogmas and rituals that have nothing to do with the true essence of the True God. Jesus said: "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs, which appear beautiful on the outside, but inside are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness" (Matthew 23:27).
Conclusions
In conclusion, the Holy Spirit is the essence of the True God, and blasphemy against him is the unforgivable sin because it is a total rejection of the very essence of God. Religion, on the other hand, is a human invention that distorts God's truth and stands between the human being and his creator. To approach God, we must seek a personal relationship with him based on the truth revealed in the scriptures and not on the human inventions of religion.
